Privacy Policy
עבריתLast updated: July 2026
This policy applies to the uTime mobile application (iOS and Android) and the uTime website. It explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Who we are
uTime("the Service", "we", "us") is an attendance and time-tracking system for businesses and employees. The Service is operated by the ucomp group.
For privacy requests, access to data, or deletion: info@u-comp.net
What data we collect
We collect only the information needed to operate the Service. The main categories are:
Business owners (web dashboard)
- Name, email, and password — to create an account, sign in, and manage the business. Passwords are stored in hashed form.
- Business details — business name, attendance settings, worksite addresses and radii, break settings, and overtime thresholds.
Employees (app and website)
- Full name, phone number, and address — as registered by the employer.
- National ID number — used to identify and sign in for attendance reporting (no separate employee password).
- Attendance records — check-in, check-out, break start and break end, including timestamps.
Location
- GPS location at punch time — when the employer enables location and/or geofencing, the app (or browser) requests location access only while in use (When In Use), at check-in / check-out.
- We store coordinates (latitude/longitude), approximate accuracy when available, and sometimes a link to the authorized worksite where the punch occurred.
- We do not track location in the background and we do not collect location when you are not reporting attendance.
- Worksite addresses entered by the employer are converted to coordinates for geofence enforcement (via a geocoding service).
Device and notifications
- Push notification token — if you allow notifications, we store a technical device identifier (for example an Expo Push Token) to send service-related reminders.
How we use the data
All data listed above is used solely for App Functionality, including:
- Authentication and identification of employees and owners
- Recording check-in, check-out, and breaks
- Verifying that a punch occurred within an authorized worksite (geofence), when enabled
- Calculating work hours and overtime for the employer
- Showing shift history to employees and managers
- Sending notifications (with consent)
- Technical support and responding to inquiries
We do not use your information for advertising, cross-app tracking, or sale to third parties.
Linking to identity and tracking
The data we collect (name, national ID, business details, attendance records, and location at punch time) is linked to your identity within your account or employee record at the business.
We do not track you for advertising or third-party analytics. We do not use your data to build profiles for external marketing.
Sharing with third parties
We share information only with service providers required to run uTime, and only to the minimum extent necessary:
- Database / cloud hosting (PostgreSQL) — secure storage of business, employee, and attendance data
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim — converting worksite addresses to coordinates (addresses entered by the employer)
- Apple / Google / Expo — app distribution and push notifications (subject to device permissions)
- Vercel — hosting the management website and API
These providers process data on our behalf under data-processing arrangements. We do not sell personal data.
The business owner can view employees' attendance and location data as part of managing the business — that is a core purpose of the Service.
Data retention
We retain personal data for as long as the account or employee record is active and needed to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. Attendance records are kept while the business uses the system (including employee history).
After a deletion request or account closure, we delete or anonymize the data within a reasonable time, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or outdated data
- Request deletion of your account and personal data
- Revoke location access in device settings (may prevent punching when location is required)
- Revoke push notification consent in device settings
Employees: some data is managed by the employer. You may contact your employer and/or us at info@u-comp.net. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Security
We take reasonable security measures to protect information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), secure password storage, and access limited by role (business owner / employee / system admin).
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children in that age group. If we learn that such information was collected, we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The last-updated date appears at the top of this page. Material changes will be posted on the website; continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
